Description

An elegant antique Victorian Arts & Crafts coal scuttle with brass strap work and complete with shovel, dating from circa 1890. In beautifully figured solid fruitwood with fancy brass strap work, studding and brass carry handle to the top. To the back is a brass holder and brass shovel with a turned wooden handle. The lid with brass knob, lifts up to reveal storage space for coal, logs, kindling etc. A quality coal scuttle with good colour and patina to the wood.
