Description

A very decorative vintage steamer trunk dating from circa 1920s made by Jas Turner & Co and retailed by John Little Department store in Singapore. A unique piece with studded corners and sides and a single brass lock to the front. The hasp and lock closes and opens, (no key to lock it) It has a s lifting handle to the top and a hinged lid with a lined interior. To the top is the name E.WILSON. and to the inside of the lid is a label: Expressly Made in England by Jas, Turner & Co (Ipswich) LTD. For John Little & Co Ltd Singapore & Kuala Lumpur. A really useful size travelling trunk, it could be used for storing bottles of wine, magazines, games, DVDS, boots, documents etc.
