Description

A stylish Chinese camphor wood chest, carved with boats and pagodas and dating from circa 1950s. With carved reliefs on the top and front of boats and pagodas surrounded by willow trees, on stepped bracket feet. To the sides are two carved hand handles along with its original fancy brass latch to the lid. Inside, the chest is clean and is lined with panelled camphor wood with its distinctive aroma. Would make a great blanket chest, storage box or could be used as a decorative coffee table or TV stand.
