A rare Zenith pocket watch with alarm function. A gun metal case with gilt finish to the bezel and to the hinges. This model was marketed to be used as a portable desk antique clock, the hinged back is designed to act as an integral stand. A rare black dial with (now discoloured) lume Arabic markers. An excellent quality mechanism by Zenith, featuring an alarm function and dual winding setting. Circa 1910. The combination of the sturdy material of gunmetal and the black dial, makes this watch remarkably similar to those supplied to the military by Zenith and Birch & Gaydon.
