Wonderful George III English Apothecary Box c.1820
Perfect for the Doctor, Surgeon or Medical Professional in your life, this is fabulous example of an antique English Apothecary cabinet in wonderful condition.
The cabinet is made from a beautiful flamed Mahogany with a flush inset brass military / campaign handle the box comes complete with a working lock and key.
There is a "secret" compartment at the back which is where the "Poisons" were stored, these are almost always missing, but this box has the bottle intact.
The doors open to reveal a really wonderfully complete box with two drawers fully fitted drawers.
Excellent condition (with wear and the odd bottle chip commensurate with age) measuring 9" x 7 1/2" x 10 1/2" tall.
