A really charming and characterful walking stick carved with a bulldogs head. The stick is carved from a single piece of ash or walnut and the shaft has been left in the raw. The head has been wonderfully carved and observed, probably with some painted detail and has been fitted with glass eyes. The bulldog retains his original silver collar. The stick has the most lovely worn feel to it while remaining in excellent condition. C.1920.
