For sale today we have this outstanding example of a William Moorcroft for Liberty & Co "Big Poppy" Tazza with Tudric Pewter base. The plate section features 5 artistically realised Ochre Big Poppy blooms in an Art Nouveau style display with their slender stems and foliage, all set against a pale mottled green ground. The tubelines are extremely well done while the colour work is crisp and without runs. The planished pewter base is lightly polished with good definition and shadowing to the hammer points.

8 1/2" in diameter x 5" tall. The pewter is marked to the base "Made in England, Tudric, Moorcroft 01313", while the plate is "Moorcroft, Made in England" along with William's "Flash" signature.
