William IV period barometer Gironimo of Bristol
A William IV period mercury wheel barometer. A fine quality tapered mahogany case with a swan neck pediment and original brass central finial. A hygrometer, thermometer, main dial and level. The silvered level is engraved by maker 'GIRONIMO BRISTOL'. Circa 1835.
Gironimo of Bristol is recorded in Banfields 'Barometer Makers and Retailers' book as working from 1830-1855.
