Waring & Gillow cane swivel desk chair
Exceptional quality and beautifully proportioned Waring & Gillow swivel desk chair with cane and a newly fitted buttoned leather seat cushion, circa 1900.
This is a beautifully made chair and absolutely a desk chair that you can use on a daily basis with it being so comfortable.
The frame is solid and has cleaned and polished very well. The cane is in great condition and with the buttoned leather seat cushion finishing the chair perfectly.
Stamped Waring & Gillow under the front of the seat, along with Paris and E473, also retaining its original brass castors.
Measuring:
32 1/4 inches or 82 cm high
21 1/2 inches or 55 cm wide
26 inches or 66 cm deep
26 1/2 inches or 67 cm arm height
18 1/2 inches or 47Centimetres cushion seat height Based in Uppingham, Rutland…having been in the business for 25 years focusing on mostly French and English decorative antiques and interiors from the 18th to the early 20th century, hopefully a collection you will enjoy browsing and hopefully re home some of my finds!
Viewing here in Uppingham is very welcome in my spacious barn studio but also I have a showroom based within the Uppingham Antiques Centre, which is well worth a visit and have a good lunch in town too!
