This is a vintage wing-back arm chair. An English, oak lounge seat with Gothic revival taste, dating to the mid 20th century, circa 1950.
Striking carvings accentuate this generously sized chair to a fine distinction
Displays a desirable aged patina - some loss to upholstery throughout
Fascinating oak stocks skilfully carved with aplomb
Ready to enjoy as is, but ripe for re-upholstery in keeping with the amazing show frame
Prominent wings provide a shield from the warmth of the fireside
Relaxing padded arms adorned with 'star anise' press studs
Excitement to the heavily carved knuckles in the form of lion masques
