Vintage Unused Japanese Vanity Set
A gorgeous vintage vanity set embellished with high quality mother of pearl.
The compact is suitable for use with modern loose face powder or as a handbag mirror.
A person pulling a rickshaw is set atop the compact mirror.
One of the occupants is shielding themselves from the sun with a parasol.
The whole set is protected with a layer of lacquer which means it will not need to be cleaned.
The gilt border surrounding the mother of pearl decoration is engraved with scrolls.
All clasps & hinges work perfectly.
The mirror gives a good and accurate reflection.
The original presentation box, pouch, puff and sifter are included.
This compact measures 7.3 cm diameter.
The lipstick holder will hold lipstick tubes measuring 12 mm diameter.
The lipstick mechanism works perfectly.
The lipstick holder measures 5.5 cm long.
The presentation case is decorated with a synthetic cover made to look like snake skin.
The interior lid is lined with pale pink material.
The interior base is fitted with crimson velvet over custom made recesses.
The case measures 15.5 x 10.7 cm.
