Vintage Mahogany Stacking Barrister Bookcase
A lovely vintage bookcase cabinet. We date this bookcase to the first half of the 20th century.
The bookcase comes in four sections.
The doors are glazed with glass panes and are opened by sliding them up and over. All of the doors are fitted with small matching button handles.
The bookcase has an overall height of 47.5" (121cm), a width of 33" (84cm), a base cabinet depth of 10.5" (27cm) and a top cabinet depth of 10" (26cm).
The bookcase sections are 7.5" (19cm) deep internally.
This lovely bookcase remains in very good solid condition with only very minor surface markings commensurate with age and usage. The top surface is showing some signs of wear to the finish from past use and there is some minor wear to the sides and some of the edges. The bottom two handles have been replaced at some point in the past.
This remains a very stylish and elegant bookcase cabinet. It could house a good sized collection of books etc. It will continue to provide good service for many years to come.
