Beautiful and in the best of condition, this fabulous Art Deco powder compact dating c. 1930 is a delight! - Made by Gwenda of England, and set to a chrome base, it depicts a tall sailing Galleon to the top, the use of deep foil to recreate the butterfly wing effect, the top is lovely without any damage (excuse the light reflection!) - to the base the black enamel is also in excellent order. Measuring c. 2.1/4" inch diameter all clasps and hinges are perfect, opening to reveal a nice clear interior, with a high polish mirror, sifter and puff - very nice, I doubt this little beauty has seen the light of day for 70+ years!!.
