Vintage Book, Time I Was Dead, Autobiography

This is a vintage copy of Time I was Dead, an autobiographical book of the artist Cecil Aldin. In the English language, hard bound and published in London, dated 1934.
Cecil Aldin (1870 - 1935) was a well-known artist and illustrator, often of animals and rural life. Educated at the National Art Training School in London - today known as The Royal College of Art - Aldin spent his later years on Exmoor following hunts and then moved to Mallorca in the Balearic Islands of Spain. Trained in animal anatomy, his paintings and sketches of animals became revered for their character.
Presented in good vintage condition - intact with some light markings
Striking crimson red binding with gilt titling to the spine
Illustrated with etchings, monochrome sketches and the occasional page of coloured sketches
Period photographs show hunting scenes and the artist's studio on Mallorca
