Antique Victorian Tunbridge Ware Pin Cushion Box. 1860's

This is a stunning antique pin cushion box of good proportions in stunning Rosewood and mixed woods.

C.1860's in date approx.

The box is typical Tunbridge Ware with mosaic tesserae.

A stunning array of flowers and geometric forms with bands of stunning flowers and various very fine details.

Original green material to lid. The lid lifts out to reveal an open storage area. Original paper to the back of the lid and inside the box.

Well polished and wood is in well maintained condition.

The box is attributed to the world famous Henry Hollamby / Thomas Barton, made in their workshops in Tunbridge Wells, Kent.

There is a collection of Tunbridge Ware in the Tunbridge Wells Museum and Art Gallery in Tunbridge Wells.

There is no mistaking its unique quality and design, which is sure to make it a treasured piece by any discerning collector.
