Victorian Lace Paper Valentine - 1866
Victorian Lace-Paper Valentine Card dated 1866. The Card has been placed onto a cut-out embossed cream card mount/frame, and has been attached via gluing the 4 corners.
The Lace paper is printed Gold and White and has four concertina hinges to raise the front of the card up to approximated 2 cms, displaying the base of the cards very intricate lace paper. The intaglio has silk backing with applied angel scrap. At the base of the mount, the hand written words 'To Mamma, 14th February 1866'. Embosser and printer unknown. (The Cream mount/frame appears a little discoloured in the scan above, this is not the case and is
