Victorian Embossed Blotter - circa 1850's. The centre of the blotter has applied Butterflies and Moths which have been hand cut and hand painted. Additional painting directly onto the background card. The spine is made of leather. One side of the blotter still has the original ribbon (other side missing). Inside is green and still has the ribbon to separate the pages. Embosser unknown. Embossers name may be under the centre panel.
