A beautiful mid-Victorian period coromandel wood writing slope. Decorated with impressive brass strap-work throughout. With a top-box stationary compartment (lockable , key supplied) which opens to reveal a fitted iinterior. Within this section is a button which can be depressed to open the writing slope. The slope itself is fitted with its original writing surface material. It can be further opened to access another fitted compartment. The whole piece comes complete with a pair of original brass lidded ink wells. Cleaned and waxed in our workshops and now offered for sale in excellent original condition.
