Victorian Black Lacquered Credenza Sideboard
Lovely original English late Victorian breakfront black lacquered breakfront credenza with marquetry and twist brass work and original glass to the centre door. Inlaid with burr walnut and boxwood.
Good decorative piece of antique furniture and will work in both traditional and more contemporary interior styles.
There is some polishing being done to the credenza, so I will add more images to update, but basically just the brass work will be polished up to its former glory.
Internally, there are two shelf surfaces behind all three doors.
Nice original and very honest piece of antique furniture. The previous owner purchased in Sotherby's in 1975 and has been in situe since then.
Measuring:
Length 151.5 cm / 59 1/2" (at base)
Depth 36 cm / 14. 1/4" (at centre - 2" less at sides)
Height 101 cm / 39 3/4". Based in Uppingham, Rutland…having been in the business for 25 years focusing on mostly French and English decorative antiques and interiors from the 18th to the early 20th century, hopefully a collection you will enjoy browsing and hopefully re home some of my finds!
Viewing here in Uppingham is very welcome in my spacious barn studio but also I have a showroom based within the Uppingham Antiques Centre, which is well worth a visit and have a good lunch in town too!
