An absolutely stunning genuine original Bakers hand cart. This wooden hand cart was used and maintained by the Distributive Co-Operative Society in Ringstead, Northamptonshire. The cart comprises of a storage compartment with a domed tin lid which has been painted over the years, this lifts and can be supported to access the loaves of bread that would have been kept in it. The cart is in remarkably good condition having been dry stored for over 70 years, it has had signs of worm however these are long gone and we have also treated it. We were also given a copy of a photo from the 1920's showing the cart outside the Co-op in Ringstead with the baker Reginald Walter Vickers who was 31 years old at the time.
