Victorian 9ct gold & Almandine Garnet Brooch. 7.7g.
The brooch measures 4 cm long, 3 cm wide, and 1.4 cm deep.
The centre stone is 9 mm x 6 mm.
It's in good condition but could do with a clean.
The rollover catch is the type where you open it halfway to close. It does seem a bit loose and has a tendency to open. I don't think it's a difficult repair, but I have listed it below the scrap value to take this into account. The brooch isn't hallmarked but has been tested for 9ct. The clasp and pin are base metal.
