A very rare Georgian period pocket watch stand in the shape of a French longcase clock along with a Georgian pair cased verge pocket watch and chain.

The Faux burr walnut case being made from solid oak was clearly made for an important customer, in fact the case was acquired from Spetchley Park. I have included a link to the BBC article detailing the sale of fine antiques found in the house's loft.

The case has been professionally cleaned and repaired by a time served cabinet maker and looks absolutely splendid.
The dial surround is finely cast brass and features what I believe to be Louis XIV, it could also be George III but with the French influenced case I doubt it.

Standing at 71cm high x 19cm wide x 9cm deep it has a presence that you cannot take your eyes off!

The Georgian pair cased with verge escapement and finely pierced balance cock was sourced from the same house and must have been for this case because the fit is perfect. I have personally overhauled the watch so that I can give it a full guarantee.
