Very Large Framed Kasimir Malevich 1989 Exhibition Kazimir Malevich poster Dutch %%alt5%% %%alt6%%
Six feet tall original framed poster for an exhibition of works by the great Russian Modernist and Avant Garde painter Kazimir Malevich (1878-1935) at the Stedelijk Museum Amsterdam in March 1989. Designed and published by the acclaimed Dutch graphic designer Anthon Beeke, it features a reproduction of one of Malevich’s ‘Supremacist’ female figures (produced in the late 1920’s) overlaid with the artist’s name and the exhibition details in a bold red type set at an angle in the manner of Russian Constructivist posters of the revolutionary era. Beeke’s imprint and date appear at the bottom of the poster. Excellent condition, unfolded and presented behind glass in a simple black wooden frame.
