Unusual William IV Spiral Fluted Silver Milk Jug
A very stylish silver cream jug of bulbous form with generously curved spiral fluting around the body, nicely shaped spout with multi-reeded detail to the rim and foot and elegantly curved handle. Gilt washed inside. Hallmarked to the base for London 1837, maker Thomas Merry II. A very nice quality, well made piece.
It measures 8cm (3 3/16") high, 10.8cm (4 1/4") spout to handle and 7cm (2 3/4") wide. It weighs 137g / 4.4ozt.
In very good condition: there appears under close inspection to have been a repair to the left side of the spout but it is minimally noticeable or detracting. No dents and minor handling wear, the marks are nice and clear. Payment is accepted by bank transfer, card payments (via an online invoice, I'm afraid we cannot take payments over the telephone), Paypal and UK personal cheque. If you prefer to pay by Stripe please go to our website where we offer that option and additionally options to "Pay in 30 days" and to pay in 3 instalments, all securely supported.
Price includes UK shipping. Worldwide shipping is also available, please ask for a cost.
We wish to ensure all our customers are happy with their purchases and offer a full no quibble return policy for all items returned within 14 days. We ask that returns are notified within 7 days where possible. Return postage is the buyer's responsibility in terms of cost and safeguarding the item through transit.
