An unused 1970s Stratton compact and lipstick holder set. The compact will hold standard sized powder pans such as Rimmel Stay Matte and Max Factor Creme Puff, as well as being suitable for loose powder. The Lipview (lipstick holder and mirror) will hold any lipstick tubes. Both items have golden etched enamel lids adorned with Rosa canina. Each piece is signed 'Stratton MADE IN ENGLAND' and they have excellent clear mirrors. The set is in superb condition and it will never tarnish or need to be cleaned. The original accessories are present and shown on image four. The compact measures 3" and weighs 91.4 grams. The 'Lipview' measures almost 2 1/2" and weighs 21.5 grams. The original Stratton case is also in very good condition. The base has custom made recesses covered with white satin. The lid is acetate which is signed 'Stratton'. Free lavishly illustrated history of this piece included.
