Two 20thC Lepidopterist Display Cases

The pine cases, recently recovered in baize, displaying an array of sixty-nine butterflies and moths from around the world, many with labels detailing when and where they were found stretching from the Edwardian period in 1904 to the last addition in India in 1924.
The cases are in good condition themselves and can easily be wall mounted as there are hooks present. In addition, ninety percent of the specimens are fully intact with only two or three with any signs of loss.
Examples include (all present in the Latin form) The Sooty Cooper, The Scotch Argus, The Common brown, The Rock Grayling, various Charaxes including the Black bordered Charaxe, The Assam Faun, The Common Pierrot, The Common Treebrown and The Scarce Copper.
Locations of the finds include Rochers De Naye in Switzerland to New South Wales in Australia, Calcutta in India to Naryanganj in Bangladesh and Natal in Brazil to Sierra Leone in Africa.
In summary, a good pair of cases that will be of great interest to many a lepidopterist or indeed for those of us with an eye for an original and attractive decorative effect.
