This is a wonderful antique Tunbridge ware sewing box veneered in walnut and colourful inlay parquetry. Inside is a hand made red satin interior. On the inside of the lid is a rouched design behind a central panel to hold sewing implements, of which one still remains. The interior has a quilted red satin design with two pockets attached to the back two corners. The bottom is lined with a green felt fabric. There is a working lock and original key.
