Theatre Playbill  - circa 1860s Entertainers  Covent Garden Clowns
Victorian Theatre Playbill 'Theatre Royal Covent Garden' circa 1860's - featuring Frederick & Harry Payne - who were members of a Victorian Dynasty of British Pantomime Entertainers. Their father William was known as The King of Pantomime and was trained with Joseph Grimaldi and Bologna.
Harry Payne was Covent Gardens Clown form 1857 to 1870. Fred and Harry played in Gilbert & Sullivans 'Thespis' at Covent Garden, which was choreographed by their father.
The playbill is in Woodcut and Metal Type.
