The Tooth puller
L' Arracheur de Dents. "The Tooth Puller" An interesting insight into 17th century dentistry.
Many "dentists" set up shop in Market Squares & had an assistant very often dressed as a Harlequin who would entertain the crowds whilst waiting for customers needing extractions. Thankfully things have changed for the better.
This is an early 20th century copy of an original painting, executed in ink on a plywood board.
Indistinct signature.
The Dentist Picture is available for viewing in our room at Knutsford Antique Center, 113 King St, WA16 6EH
