These are first editions of this richly illustrated work on the furnishing and decoration of old houses, published in 1924+.
Volumes I and II of The Old-World House by Herbert Cescinsky are in excellent condition throughout, with the only signs of age being some rubbing on the ridges and edges of the spines and some slight fading on the front cover of volume I. In quarter morocco bindings, internally the pages are still tightly bound and unmarked.

The books feature illustrations throughout, and contain information including the history, types, styles, and makers of furniture, interior decoration, woods, panelling, flooring and polishes, and eighteenth century arts and crafts.

Published by A&C Black Limted of London, this set would provide a handsome addition to any library.
