The Brazilian Street Railway Co., Train Pass
Waterlow & Sons Limited Security Printed Train Pass for the The Brazilian Street Railway Co., which was founded in London in 1866, known in Brazil as the 'Estrada De Ferro De Caxanga' The Railway arrived in Caxanga on the 24th June 1870.
The Train Pass is for a trip to Caxanga in Brazil, Chamber Class. Date circa 1890's.
Waterlow and Sons Limited were Security Printers/Engravers of Currency, Postage Stamps, Stocks and Bonds and Medicine Labels. In 1862 they Invented and manufactured the Waterlow Railway Passenger Ticket Printing Machine, which was to be used by various Railway Companies in the UK, Europe and The Colonies, however, the tickets would have been on card. This Pass was printed on Paper at their London Wall, London, premises, therefore, is most certainly a Specimen Engraving.
