Teak and Black Faux Leather Chippy Telephone Bench
A high quality telephone hall bench by renowned mid century maker, Chippy. This handsome and substantial piece of antique furniture is made of solid teak, with a luxurious black faux leather cushioned seat and side / back panels. The piece also has a small cupboard, originally designed for your phone books, and a pull-out wipeable whiteboard for telephone numbers, complete with a groove for your pen. The teak has a beautifully rich colour which is perfectly complemented by the black leatherette.
Originally designed as a comfortable place to chat on your landline phone, the piece now makes a perfect hall bench and table, or could be a stylish occasional chair or reading nook. As the back and sides are finished with smart faux leather panels, it doesn't need to be placed against a wall and looks good from all directions.
Dimensions:
Width 105cm, Depth 48cm, Height 53cm.
The bench is a heavy, quality item and is in very good vintage condition. There are extremely minor marks to the wood. There are no scratches, holes or marks to the leatherette. Please examine the photographs and feel free to ask us any questions, or request more pictures.
