A particularly good taxidermied fox head by Spicer and Sons of Leamington. Mounted onto an oak shield together with a plaque which reads ‘Killed at Abbots Moss Jan 6th 1951 J.M.M’. Wonderfully naturalistic taxidermy with glass eyes and presented with a snarling face. With a clear maker’s stamp on the reverse. Excellent condition with fur and whiskers beautifully preserved. Abbots Moss is an area of peat bog and heath within the Delamere Forest in Cheshire. Please contact us for more images, delivery and shipping quotes.
