Tan-Sad Industrial Swivel Machinist/Typist Chair
Dating from the 1950's and made by Birmingham based Tan-Sad Chair Company, this industrial swivel chair would have been found at a machinist work station, a clerk or secretaries desk, anywhere really where sitting was required to do your job in an industrial situation.
The chair seat revolves clock-wise and anti-clockwise to adjust the seat up or down. The chair back has a turn screw handle to allow for adjustment up or down.
The vinyl of this seat is original and in excellent condition, a nice darkish green. The tubular framework has at some time been painted a silvery grey which over time has worn in places.
The makers label is missing from the back of the backrest but the original adjustable screw knob displays the makers name.
