Unusual walnut filing cabinet c.1930. Tall walnut cabinet into which are fitted 18 loose box files (of a later date) with tooled and gilded grey/green leather fronts and brass knobs. The fronts of the files fold open and the internal dimensions are 10½” x 15″, plenty big enough for sheets of A4 paper or ideal for shoes, accessories etc. The files could be removed completely to make a useful set of open shelves or pigeon holes. Ogee moulded cornice, panelled sides and a low moulded plinth. Some previous repairs and alterations. With an old ink stain to the front of the top left file. Excellent condition, cleaned and waxed in our workshops.
