A Symphonion disc playing musical box. Made in Leipzig Germany in 1899. The instrument plays 19.5cm steel discs and 10 original discs are included. The clockwork mechanism is wound with a detachable winding handle. Features include automatic stop, a tempo/speed regulator and a zither attachment for altering the tone of the instrument if desired. The box has been fully overhauled and in all original condition with only minor signs of age. Please see the accompanying video to hear the box play. A working key for the lock is included. More discs are available if desired.
