This is a superb, very decorative antique beadwork buffalo head tribal mask from the Bamileke people of Cameroon West Africa dating from around 1900. In excellent condition and a great size this makes a very impressive piece for display in any setting.
The mask measures 1metre tall 40 cms wide by 35 cms deep.

From the residual contents of Stanhope Castle, Bishop Auckland.
