A stunning VICTORIAN DIORAMA of 6 exotic birds under an oval glass dome, on an ebonised wooden base with 4 small bun feet.

A superb Antique example from the golden age of Victorian Taxidermy when mounted birds and animals were a popular part of Victorian interior decor.

6 beautiful exotic birds, the smallest only ~ 4 cm long, the largest ~ 12cm, beautifully mounted in a natural setting with 'rocks'. branches, ferns and grasses. The irridescent colours have survived really well.

The photographs don't really do justice to this lovely diorama. A really beautiful and rare example of the Victorian taxidermist's art.
