Stick Barometer Ronchetti Manchester
A quality Georgian stick barometer by Baptista Ronchetti of Manchester. A very well engraved silvered dial with masonic symbols. A mahogany case with an architectural pediment and the original central brass finial. Chequered marquetry case edging. Circa 1810.
Baptista Ronchetti arrived in Manchester from Tavernerio, Italy and worked in Spear Street and High Street. He is noted in Banfields' 'Barometer Makers and Retailers' book as being a producer of high quality intsruments.
