A very nice, vintage, Sterling Silver cased, Movado Ermeto Chronometre Purse Watch.

The sterling silver case with sliding mechanism, opening to reveal the watch face. The dial signed "Movado Ermeto Chronometre".

The rear stamped "Sterling Silver, Swiss Made". Also with English sterling silver hallmarks the sponsor's mark "GS" for Stockwell & Co (George Stockwell) of Finsbury Street, London, the Lion Passant sterling silver mark, the London import mark and date letter "m" for 1927/28.

The Swiss made movement in working order.

The case measures 48mm x 32mm when closed, extending to 73mm when open.

A lovely purse watch from the 1920's art deco period.
