A sterling silver Kigu compressed powder compact which is suitable for standard size pans of face powder like Max Factor Creme Puff and Rimmel Stay Matte. It was assayed in 1963. The lid is a tribute to a much earlier era. An engraved semi-circle which it the classic Art Deco motif representing the rising sun. The clam-shell guilloche pattern has the appearance of the sunrays. The compact is in very good condition with a clear mirror and all hinges / catches work perfectly. The original instruction leaflet is in place. The base is decorated with a bold spiral. Measures 3" and weighs 83.7 grams. A pristine luxury puff and velvet pouch come are included with this purchase. Free lavishly illustrated history of this piece included.
