This one was from the offices of The Grew Brothers and Engineering Company which we were fortunate to pick a few rather good pieces from. It’s a great compact size and possesses genuine historic wear and the little flip out extension to the top is a real bonus.

As mentioned this one was made by Sankey Sheldon with the transfer sitting on the rear of the frame. It’s made using the method of folding metal and comes in a rather fetching Army browny green. We love the practical look with those slightly tapered metal legs and the useful little drawer to the left. Not forgetting that flip up extension!

Condition wise it’s good – it sits in its original condition with wear marks to the insert top, age marks to the legs as would be expected. Study and workmanlike, smells fine.

A great piece of 1940s British Vintage Industrial antique furniture of smaller proportions than some.

When purchasing from us we include delivery within mainland UK, excluding Scotland, Northern Ireland and the Isles, in the purchase price and liaise with you to ensure delivery is as swift and as smooth as possible. We try our best to deliver within 14 working days. Please call or email for quotes to Scotland, Northern Ireland, the Isles and for World-wide shipping.

Items are delivered by private courier, usually this is a one man service. If you require a two person delivery, please let us know. Smaller items are wrapped and packed (into recycled boxes where possible) and sent via a national courier service, tracking details will be provided once an item has been collected from us.

Terms and conditions

If you are not happy with an item you have 14 days to return it. This is providing that the item is returned, in the condition it left us, within 14 days. Please note that items must be wrapped and insured, with the return cost being covered by you. Once the item is back with us, having had a once over in the workshop, your refund will be issued.

On the rare occasion that an item is damaged in transit, please notify us immediately or within 48 hours and provide us with details and images so we can best remedy the situation.
