Silver La Heutte pocket watch by Goschler & Cie
Silver La Heutte pocket watch by Goschler & Cie.
The watch has a Swiss 15-jewel stem-winding movement which is working nicely and keeping time to within around five minutes over 24 hours. The movement is protected by an inner hinged cover which is signed La Heutte, a name first registered by Goschler & Cie of Biel, Switzerland in 1903. There are also various details about the movement and images of medals presumably won at trade exhibitions.
The watch measures 50mm diameter excluding the winding stem and the loop. The case is 800 silver and there are Continental hallmarks inside both of the case backs. Overall the case is in good condition, just the odd small knock but nothing too detrimental at all.
The acrylic lens is in good condition.
The dial is in lovely condition with beautiful ornate hands, a subsidiary seconds dial and outer minute markers picked out in gold.
The watch comes with a Continential silver chain, 33cm long including the T-bar and the clasp.
