A wonderful attractive kilt pin made from silver with enamel highlights. The silver has floral scroll etching around the ring and the enamel is a rich blue colour. Even on the reverse there are designed etching to the silver as can be seen in the photographs. The enamel is in very good condition with just one very small bruise to the thistle shaped top of the pin, this can be seen on the photogrhs.

There is not a hallmark on the pin but it has been tested as silver and it also looks and smells like silver. It measures 7cm from the pin tip to the top of the 'thistle'. The gross weight is 194 grams.

I date this, by its design, to be mid to late Victorian.
