A VERY NICE, ANTIQUE ENGLISH SILVER HARDSTONE SET SNUFF BOX, GOLDSMITHS & SILVERSMITHS, LONDON c1912
A very good quality, English Silver and Hardstone set Snuff or Pill Box made in London and dating from c1912.
The circular shaped box with a hardstone set lid.
It is hallmarked with the maker's mark "WH" for William Hornby, the Lion Passant sterling silver mark, the Leopard's Head London town mark and date letter "r" for 1912/13.
The box is stamped to the base with the prestigious London retailer's name "Goldsmiths & Silversmiths Co. Ld., 112 Regent Street W".
It is in very good condition.
It measures 55mm in diameter x 23mm in height. The weight is 59.3g
