This is a fine and large set of antique brass beam scales made by the renown specialist company W & T Avery Ltd of Birmingham.

It dates to the late Victorian or Edwardian period and would have been used in shops - Grocers or Post Offices at that time. It has a capacity of 2 LB (about a Kg), a solid mahogany base and a set of 6 weights ranging from one LB, down to 1/2 OZ

Complete and original, it can be dismantled easily for packing and posting anywhere.
