Antique set of 6 rosewood balloon back dining chairs.

The chairs date from the William IV or possibly early Victorian eras.

Very heavy quality chairs with no loose joints.

A great rare find, with fantastic proportions.

Lovely colour, age, patina and charm.

A rare and sought after style of dining chair.

The upholstery (quality velour) is not new (or original) and has some wear and marks. The seats have been cleaned. Please excuse the way the pile is laying in the photos, reflecting light, as they have just been cleaned.

48cmW x 53cmD x 84cmH (46cmH seat when sat on).

Historic knocks, marks, cracks, scratches, repairs and alterations, as is always the way with antique furniture of this age. We have not inspected beneath the upholstery. The chairs have had historic repairs and restoration, as you would expect...but all is good and solid now. Historic (believed extinct) woodworm holes that have been treated for good measure. Steel strengthening straps have been added beneath the seats.
