Royal Marriage Ball Ticket at Versailles
Engraved French Ball Invitation to The Wedding at Versailles of Louis Antoine, Monseigneur le Daupkin,
(Heir-apparent),son of King Charles X of France, who became Louis XIX, King of France and of Navarre in 1836 - 1844. The Invitation was pre-printed and does not mention the Bride. He actually married his first cousin Princess Marie Therese of France, the eldest child of Louis XVI and Marie Antoinette, in Mittau, Russia, in June 1799. Princes Marie Therese was the only member of the immediate Royal French family to survive the French Revolution.
Louis Antoine was born in 1775, In 1789 at the outbreak of the French Revolution Louis Antoine and his brother followed their father into excile to Turin, then to Germany and eventually to England.
