Roman Frame In Gilded And Carved Wood.19th Century
Description: Antique Roman frame in gilded and carved wood from the early 19th century.
The frame features a complex molding with alternating ovoli grooves and carved strips.
The upper central cartouche is very pronounced with acanthus leaves, while the lateral scrolls are symmetrical.
The entire border is a succession of floral and rosette motifs repeated along the entire edge.
General Condition: Excellent.
Provenance: Rome, early 19th century.
External Dimensions: 145x120cm.
Internal Dimensions: 106x75cm.
