If you have a collector or two of military watches in the family we have the pleasure of being able to offer you the opportunity of buying them the perfect Christmas gift, this lovely WW2 Officers Rolex pocket watch.

This lovely black faced pocket watch has an outer railroad track minute chapter with an inner hour chapter marked with large Arabic numerals. The face is in an excellent condition, although the radium painted numerals and original hands do show the signs of aging expected from a watch of this period and there is a tiny chip in the dial between the 10 and 11o-clock position. The face is completed by a very nice subsidiary second hand. The face is signed Rolex, with the serial number A9082, Swiss Made. The face is encapsulated by nice clean perspex crystal.

The case is of nickel silver and is in a very good but aged condition. The reverse of the case is marked with the serial number A9082 and GS Mark II with the British broad arrow. The serial number on the case back matches that on the face.

Opening the case reveals that the inside of the case back is also signed Rolex and carries quite a large number of servicing marks. This is always an extremely good sign in a watch. Servicing marks are added to a watch by watchmakers when a watch is serviced. In this case the number of servicing marks indicates that this watch has been very regularly serviced. The case encapsulates a lovely Rolex signed 15 jewel movement, which is further marked Swiss made.

This watch is 1 & 3/4 inches (approximately 48mm)in diameter and is presented in what very well could be its original and very well preserved black leather pouch.
